about

I wrote this song while sitting shotgun in a moving truck with a Quebecois guy name Karl who believed that rolling drum was good for your lungs and that we are all on the cusp of an awakening consciousness. They were long days and it was cold outside.

lyrics

Salt stained window shines gold in morning sun
My face is dry and tight from the heater
It's 6am I'm on the road for another one
26th my rent cheque won't clear

Sitting next to a guy in camouflage pants
Wondering if I'm too old for this bit
But he's 20 years older and he seems fine with it

Got lots of education and I gave up my vices
No cigarettes to whisky no weed
Made a grant application maybe once or twice
Crowdfunded my last CD

Another stop in the road it means nothing to me
But it means everything to people I see
I'm moving couches and beds when I should be moving LPs

Buy something I made
A t-shirt or a CD
For every one you don't buy
I pick up another washing machine
